Dusty’s Work Avoidance Tour has been slow this year, so far only missing 27 days of work (roughly 14% of the work year to date). Fortunately October will help, with ten days on the road and six work days missed.

October is Lake Superior Performance Rally in Houghton, MI. I’m taking the most indirect route possible, first going to Texas, then Michigan, then home to Mass. This will add seven states to the year, bringing the total up to 25. Words are dumb, so here’s some pictures of planned stops (including the top image). If you recognize one of them and live nearby we should totally meet up.

Bummer... Mrs. addiction will be out of town , so I’ll be at a soccer game with my oldest late that afternoon, and then getting the kids home and to bed after that. Hope you have a great trip. Since you’re going that way, m ake sure to stop in at the newly remodeled service plaza/McDonald’ s over the turnpike near Vinita. How are you finding all your stops? Roadtrippers?

There’s a brand new park in Tulsa called Gathering Place and it’s legitimately amazing/world class. Half a billion in private funds went to buying the land and building it all.

I’d like to go to LSPR but I believe that (yet again) I’ll be on the road for work. Unlike some people I can’t go on a work-avoidance tour and still have a job to go back to at the end of it !
